34 Weeks – 6 weeks to go!
Size of baby –
Baby weighs about 5 pounds and is around 20 inches long. About the size of a pineapple!
Movement –
This little man moves and rolls and kicks and punches like crazy! Other times, I start to get worried because he hasn’t moved in hours. I’m starting to think he just sleeps like his dad…something I hope he keeps up outside of the womb. 😀
Labor Signs –
Some braxton hicks
Sleep –
I haven’t been able to sleep on my side because my entire arm goes numb. Hubbs helped me create a sort of recliner in our bed with about a zillion pillows, and I’ve been getting some pretty good rest sleeping that way!
Food Cravings –
none
Food Aversions –
none
Symptoms –

Lower back and hip pain
Carpal Tunnel

Exciting Moments in the last month
My momma visited and helped me out a lot – cleaning and organizing. Hubby was gone for an entire week for work – so I kept myself pretty busy. I don’t like it when he is gone usually, so when there are preggo hormones involved I don’t always do so well! The nursery is starting to come together. We finished our childbirth class, so we have a little better idea of what to expect. Mom and I made more freezer meals. I spent an entire day sitting and waiting to find out if I would be chosen for the jury. I got a lot of looks and sympathy for being super pregnant at jury duty! We also had the first big storm/tornado of the season hit last week, so that was (not) fun!
Thoughts on the last month
I have officially hit the stage of being ready to have him here rather than continue to be pregnant! People have been so kind and supportive though – both to me and to our sweet little boy. Thanks to all who have kept encouraging me and complimenting my “glow” as well as to all who have been giving baby items and clothes and gifts. We cannot thank you enough! I feel like time is flying by, and I keep getting more forgetful by the second. I have been trying to jot little notes in his journal along with photos each week, so that when I look back I can remember more of this journey. Working with the kiddos is definitely getting more difficult, just because I don’t have the mobility and energy I usually do. I keep needing to give myself grace and remember that this is only a phase. I’ve been working ahead so that I can take off work from all my jobs for two months, so hopefully I can complete that in the next couple of weeks! We can’t wait to meet Seelster!
