Baby Bump Update – Week 30
Movement
Little man has been movin’ and groovin’ like crazy! Every once in a while we can see it on my belly, and hubby finally got to feel him move, which was special.
Labor Signs
Some cramping and some lovely Braxton Hicks contractions
Sleep
I’m still sleeping pretty well (just added a few more midnight bathroom breaks), thanks to the multitude of pillows. I’ve been working on a better evening routine so that I can stay in bed later in the mornings guilt-free. 🙂
Food Cravings
Donuts and carbs as well as all the raw veggies I can get my hands on, so I guess that evens things out!
Food Aversions
Sea food sounds so nasty to me!
Symptoms
All the typical third trimester aches and pains, plus some major gum tenderness and weird skin spots. Swelling in my legs, feet and hands. Oh, and hormones. Lots of crazy hormones.
Wedding Ring – on or off?
Off
Belly Button – in or out?
Hubbs says its 3/4 out- it has not fully popped out and looks extra odd.
What I miss
Green tea lemonade and fully-caffeinated coffee
Being able to stand up without creaks, cracks, and groans 🙂
What I’m loving
Getting ready for baby to arrive – classes, working on nursery
Talking to my mom and asking her a million questions
Waking up and going to sleep to baby moving
Feeling closer to hubby as we get closer to being an official family of three
Exciting Moments in the last month
Hubbs feeling Little Man move
Thoughts on the last month
I think I’ve said “Dude, I feel really pregnant today” a lot more this month! Ha! I officially can’t see my feet! I am trying to stay on top of working out/stretching and eating well because I can absolutely tell a difference when I don’t. I am learning to be productive when I feel good and to not guilt myself for resting when I don’t, which has been quite the process for this over -achieving perfectionist! I love that there are more regular times during the day when Little Man moves; it is such an amazing feeling to know that a little life is growing in there. I am getting more nervous/excited about delivery, and am looking forward to our childbirth class. I think that the class will answer a lot of my questions, which will help the nerves. (I’ve always been a knowledge is power kind of person!) I am also realizing just how blessed we are as gifts and clothes/baby items are given and passed on to us. This is going to be one loved little guy, and I can’t wait to meet him!!
Any third trimester advice for this first time mama??
